Developing Complete Streets and Flood Protection Improvements

Applied Sciences was requested by the City of St. Petersburg for services that included the development of complete streets and flood protection level of service (LOS) improvements, including Low Impact Development (LID) techniques. The project began with the development of a concept drainage and roadway plan that was accepted by the city. It was followed with the successful approval of Cooperative Funding Initiative (CFI) matching funds application from the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD). Applied Sciences is also providing post design construction services which include bid reviews, shop drawings review, and pre-construction meeting attendance.
