and Improving Water Quality

Applied Sciences provided professional services in support of the Squirrel Prairie Watershed Management Program. Services provided included a Flood Protection Level of Service analysis for roadways and structures, performing a Surface Water Resource Assessment to identify water quality trends and potential pollutant sources, and conducting a Best Management Practices (BMP) alternatives analysis to identify opportunities to reduce flooding and/or improve water quality conditions. This analysis is being performed jointly for SWFWMD and Hernando County (County), with the district acting as the lead agency.
